In a heartening development, the exquisite terracotta artistry from Krishnanagar, Nadia, will be showcased in the Ram temple of Ayodhya. About 100 intricately crafted terracotta murals, each measuring twenty feet by ten feet, are set to adorn both sides of Dharampath, the primary entrance of the Ram temple.

Krishnanagar artist Biswajit Majumdar, along with 27 fellow artists, initiated this project in September. The murals, based on the Ramayana story, have witnessed substantial progress, with 60 percent of the work completed amidst wartime activities. While 13 artists are actively working on-site at the Ram temple in Ayodhya, an additional 14 artists continue their dedicated efforts at the artist workshop in Krishnanagar.

Majumdar shared that his artwork has been featured in a government museum in Ayodhya for nearly 15 years. He received a special invitation from Yogi Adityanath, who not only welcomed him but also expressed profound interest in the art. The artist takes pride in securing a space for his creations at Dharam Path, the main entrance of the Ram Mandir.
